Trying Something New

I’ve never been a big fan of selective color but since I recently aquired Lightroom 4 and there happene to be a Selective Color contest over at ViewBug, I decided to give it a try. Below is my first attempt at this.

Overall it turned out ok. Luckily I found a picture of mine that I thought would be a good candidate. I think I over saturated the shirt a bit, you can tell in the shadows and the overall image appears flat. Maybe some vingenetting (I spell horribly btw) would have helped the depth.

I’ll surely try this again as while it did take a bit of time to do it right, it was a bit of fun and the final result is pretty cool.
